The Course:
Evaluation for Real (EfR) is a two day course placing evaluation at the heart of improving the effectiveness of community and voluntary sector projects, programmes and initiatives. Using a range of participative tools and techniques, it starts by looking at who are the key stakeholders and how to involve them so that they have ownership of the evaluation process. A particular emphasis is placed on community/beneficiary involvement. EfR recognises the importance of getting the whole picture in understanding why a project/programme is successful or not. It also stresses the importance of evaluation informing the ongoing development of the project/programme. Drawing on the experience of a range of community based evaluations, the course identifies key issues to undertaking a rigorous EfR.
Duration: 2 days
