The Course:

Initiatives such as Sustainable Communities and Neighbourhood Renewal are demanding new and innovative community participation and engagement techniques. The arts can often help to engage and to give voice to people who would otherwise be excluded from consultation processes. This introductory course will present a wide range of arts based tools, which can be utilised to engage individuals and groups in local planning and decision-making. You will be able to try out techniques, work through scenarios, and take away a course manual with detailed course material, contacts and information for arts-based networks, and resources.
