Facilitated Workshops

NIF’s tools & techniques in demand for facilitation services ………………..

All sorts of groups and partnership bodies are increasingly looking at innovative approaches to their establishment or changing roles in the light of changed circumstances. The Foundation is refining tools & techniques to fit with requests to undertake facilitation events.

Recent work includes:

  • Working with a fledgling partnership body in Northants to undertake a ‘gap analysis’ in its draft Neighbourhood Renewal Action Plan.
  • A multi agency educational partnership, South Telford Education Partnership (STEP) in Telford used our services to explore the Terms of Reference for the re-established partnership. In a short space of time NIF facilitators teased out the priorities for the partnership and prepared them for the next stage of developing an action plan. Marie Blake, Community Learning Officer, Telford & Wrekin Council, says “ NIF were able to offer us a tailor made facilitation service, an interactive workshop that was productive and enjoyed by all”.
  • Also in Telford, Assisting a Single Regeneration Budget partnership with its succession strategy and integration with the authority’s arrangements for neighbourhood co-ordination – Keith Whitton (Nhood co-ordinator) says “The day was a really valuable experience, it opened up some communication issues that we could not expect to resolve on the day but are now planned into our work”.
